Last year K1 got to take her Guinea Pig, Princess to school for the class fair. Well, the fair is coming and K2 played the "it's not fair" card, and insisted a new rodent was needed. And she had her dad pretty much talked into a Ferret. A Ferret? IDONTTHINKSO. Luckily, we looked it up and saw it was basically a cat, a cat that poops where ever it chooses. Much more than I wanted to take on.
So i suggested a hamster - maybe a really little hamster ( K1 had an eye on a robo-hamster). Luckily - they bought that answer. When we got to the store, we ended up with 2 Dwarf hamsters. I admit - they are pretty cute. And little.

The cats thought we must have brought them a small crunchy treat. We even got them a few of those little balls and they run around like crazy. The girls named them Tabasco and Salsa. I have no idea why. I guess they are "spicy" :)

I can't tell who likes them better - the girls or the cats......
